ABOUT JESS
By having a Facebook community you can have an interactive and engaging audience to interact with you and your business. It also allows you to moderate your audience and a GREAT way to get insider/market research information.
I am really sorry to tell you there is no fast way to grow your group but there are a few things you need to know.
What you need to get started
You need to decide a name for this tribe you are building
Be specific and know who it is you want sitting at your dinner table – how do you know these people share your same vision and values?
Set the rules – this will set the tone for your group. While some seem harsh it is a really great way to set the expectations for your group from the get go.
Don’t forget to welcome the newbies as they join your clan! At least once a week, do a welcome post.
What are the pain points of your target audience?
If you know what you are looking to help people with and support within your community, this will form the key wording in your communication for people to come onboard.
Be Authentic
If this is your passion and you are looking to grow your business, it will be easy to spread the word. If you share it in a sleazy way, people will see straight through you.
Be Consistent
I am sure you have heard it 1000 times but consistency is key. You need to show up for your community, whether it be posting 4 – 5 times a week and a Facebook live, you need to follow through and do what you say your going to do.
If this is something that might be difficult then I would seriously consider hiring a Facebook Community Manager.
Top Tip – Ask each member for their email address and their permission for you to send something of value to them. Like a cheatsheet or a how-to guide to something. This also builds your sales funnel.
What Is the difference between Pages and Groups?
Facebook defines it: “Pages allow real organizations, businesses, celebrities, and brands to communicate broadly with people who like them. Pages may only be created and managed by official representatives. Groups provide a space for people to communicate about shared interests. Groups can be created by anyone.”
How to write engaging posts for your Facebook Community?
Everyone coming into your group has an agenda. They are there for a reason. Whether it is to grow their business or to gain that free training you are running. How are you aligned to their agenda and purpose? By understanding their pain points and what they are trying to achieve, will help you drive engagement by having helpful tips and opportunities for these people to share their experiences, questions and wins.
