When it comes to your social media marketing, it is important that you are posting regularly and being consistent. It can be difficult to remember to post each day, which is why a content calendar is a great idea. There are a number of different platforms that you can use to upload and schedule your content ready to go out to the various social media platforms. Two such platforms are Later and Tailwind. 

What is Later?

Later is an online platform that you can use to schedule your social media posts. It works by uploading your images into the media folder and then dragging them into the calendar on the day and time that you want them to be posted. 

At this stage you then write the content that you want to accompany the image.

What are the benefits of Later?

Later comes with many benefits including the option to auto publish your posts across various platforms. On the free account you can link up to three different social media accounts. 

There is also the option to create saved captions, where you can store your hashtags. This means you are not having to type them out for each post. The free account gives you 30 posts per month, per social account that you can schedule. 

There is also a paid option for Later that you can upgrade to which gives you more benefits and freedom. By upgrading you are able to access the option of linking more social media accounts and increasing the number of posts you can schedule. With the upgrade you can also conduct hashtag research and find out the best hashtags for your business.

There is both a desktop and mobile app version that you can use.

What is Tailwind?

Tailwind is a newer social media scheduling platform that is proving itself very popular.

Tailwind is a platform that focuses on Instagram and Pinterest. Pinterest is growing in the busines world and many businesses are beginning to realise the potential. It is being used by more and more businesses every day.

Tailwind helps you to create engaging posts and pins for your Pinterest and Instagram accounts without hassle or wasting a lot of time.

One of the biggest benefits of Tailwind is that it is making Pinterest and Instagram so much more achievable for business owners.

With Instagram posting it gives you the option to auto post your content to the platform. There is also a one click hashtag suggestion option so that you can add the relevant hashtags to your posts.

Pinterest pins are able to be created in no time. You can create 10 pins in one click through the platform! You receive analytics to help you understand how your pins are working and engaging with those on the platform.

With both accounts there is the smart schedule tool which helps you to determine the best time of the day to schedule your posts for. They are then automatically posted to your account without you having to remember to go in and post them.

Tailwind is a paid application, however you can sign up for a 30 day free trial to see if it is for you.

Both of these platforms have many benefits and can work very well for businesses of varying sizes.
