How many hours a day do you spend on Instagram? Having your business on social media can have huge benefits. It gives you a chance to gain more exposure, followers and it can lead to increased sales.

In order to get Instagram working for your business, doesn’t mean you have to spend hours upon hours every day on there. Did you know that you can grow your business Instagram by spending just 30 minutes a day on it? You heard that right – just 30 minutes a day!

But what exactly should you be doing for that 30 minutes a day you ask? Let me give you the secrets.

Start posting

The first and pretty obvious thing you can do to boost your Instagram is by posting on it. By posting you are giving people a chance to see more of your business. If you are anything like me in business, you are super busy. That means that posting to your social media sometimes doesn’t happen. It doesn’t seem like a priority. But the thing is, it is a bog priority that you should be putting on your to do list.

You can either schedule your content in advance so that you know it is going out, or you can have the images and captions in your phone ready to post each day.

Try posting at different times of the day and then use the insights to see when people are reacting most with your posts. Determine when your target market is online and use that for your future posting.

Use the stories function

Posting on your feed is a good start, but in order to boost your business even more you need to be taking advantage of the stories function as well. Stories are where you can post videos and images, share other peoples content and provide live updates that are only visible for 24 hours.

Stories are beneficial as they sit at the top of a persons Instagram and are easily accessible.

If you are not already using the stories function now is the time. Posting 2-3 times a day to your stories will help to boost your followers and interaction.

Make use of hashtags

Are you adding hashtags to your posts? If you are – great start! But there is even more than you can do with them. The hashtags that you choose to have on your posts are ones that will relate to your target market. So spending 20 minutes a day interacting with those hashtags means that you are able to connect with your target market – before they even see your posts.

To do this, all you need to do is search for a particular hashtag. Once the posts come up that have that hashtag, you can then comment and like on the different posts to start interacting with the poster.

The more you do this, the more your following and engagement will increase as you will have people coming back to your page after you have commented on their posts.

“Link in Bio” is a very common phrase used on Instagram. Just in case you aren’t familiar, it’s because you can only have one link on Instagram in your bio. If you put any links on your post, any customer would need to copy and paste it into a browser or click the link in your bio. 
Linktr.ee is a great tool that you can use to have multiple options for links so you don’t need to change it daily. 
It is all well and good to be posting and showing up but you need to funnel your people somewhere. They are checking you out for a reason!
