ABOUT JESS
We all know how important it is to get our social media content out. The more you are posting, the higher your interaction will be. However when it comes to creating and writing the content, that is where many people get stuck. Thinking up the different ideas for your content, creating the images and then writing the engaging caption to go with them. There is a lot to think about. Putting together your content can take time, however if you are organised and have a clear plan in place, you can get a lot done in a short amount of time. Check out some tips below on how you can maximise your content and create 2 weeks worth in less than 4 hours.
Start with a quality blog post
If you have a website and are writing blogs, this is a great place to pull inspiration for your social media posts. Once you have shared a new blog on your website, there is ample opportunity to share the blog on your social media, along with different snippets from the blog.
From your blog post, you can create multiple social media posts. Think about the first one being where you share the link to the blog. The main announcement of the new blog post.
This can be done with a catchy image and text that gives a snippet of the post. From there you can also create a few more posts that highlight sections of the blog and then provide the link.
Any quotes that you make in the blog, they can be used as a separate social media post with a simple text image, that will only take a couple of minutes to make.
When it comes to your Pinterest account, if you are not pinning regularly – where have you been. Spending 30 minutes creating new pins and scheduling them in will easily give you 2 weeks worth of content. You can use the above options for your pins; the intro to the blog, quotes and funny memes.
Pinterest is becoming more and more popular for businesses and it is starting to become a great place to share your knowledge.
Once your pins are up, people will start repining an sharing them, which will increase your interaction and following.
Instagram is a very visual platform which means that you need to take a little more time ensuring that your posts are both visually appealing and engaging in their context. However this doesn’t mean you need to hirer a graphic designer or spend hours writing lengthy posts.
Posts that are simple quotes or memes do not need long text. You can put them up with a line or two of text, if that is all that they need.
Make sure when you are posting on Instagram that you are using your hashtags to maximise your reach and interaction.
Facebook is still a great place to socialize and share your business. You will find followers that are on Facebook that are not on Instagram or Pinterest. When it comes to Facebook, the organic reach is a lot lower than the other platforms. Since the inclusion of hashtags recently the reach is starting to increase, however there is still a lot of work that needs to be done there. Because of this, there is no point spending additional hours recreating new content for Facebook alone. Using the same content that you are sharing on Instagram is perfectly fine.
It gives you an additional platform to share on, without having to do the extra work.
Instagram Stories
If you are not using stories, you need to be! Stories are a great way to share quick, fun and valuable content with your followers without having to put too much work into it. Stories are only available for 24 hours before they disappear, although you can save them as highlights.
Because stories are only available for a short length of time, don’t go spending too much time on them.
Simply taking a photo of behind the scenes, a selfie or a quick product photo and uploading it to your stories can make a huge impact.
You do not need to spend a lot of time on your social media in order to make an impact. Within 4 hours you can easily create 2 weeks worth of content without having to think about it too much. Use your current blog posts, memes, quotes and product images to create a social media strategy that has impact and punch, without losing time doing the other important things in your business.
